Jordan Scott

Originally from Coquitlam British Columbia, Jordan Scott now lives and works in Vancouver. Jordan’s first book of poetry, Silt (New Star Books, 2005) was nominated for the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize. In the fall of 2006, Jordan worked on the final sections of Blert, Jordan’s second poetry collection (Coach House Books, 2008,, while acting as the writer in residence at the International Writers’ and Translators’ Centre in Rhodes, Greece. Blert explores the poetics of the stutter. Sections of Blert have appeared in filling Station, drunken boat and nypoesi. The poem fable, was the inspiration for the Bravo!FACT short film entitled Stutter, which was collaboratively produced with the Artist Bloc collective in the spring of 2008.
